Where to buy Scented Candles
Those who have never been to the desert may not be able to appreciate the impact it can have on people. With a dramatic landscape and unique vegetation, deserts leave a mark on those who live there or even just visit. Like all landscapes, there is a particular smell to the desert, which is almost captured in the cactus candle scent. Difficult to describe, the cactus has a particular aroma unlike any other plant.
Part of its uniqueness probably comes from the environment the cactus lives in; any plant that survives in such an extreme climate will have unique characteristics. The smell seems to incorporate the aridity and heat of the desert, reminding people who smell it of vast expanses of sand with cacti and tumbleweeds. It is not as strong a scent as most other plants, probably because the cactus has to work so hard to survive. The cactus candle scent can be found in a variety of candle types. Many are shaped like cacti as well, providing the overall appearance of a real cactus. Saguaro shaped candles are the most commonly seen, as they are probably the most recognized species of cactus.
Candles might be a few inches in size, with the distinctive tall body and bent arms seen in countless western movies. Some cactus candles are themed, such as ones with Christmas lights on them. Others look just like other tealight, votive, or jar candles. Light green in color, they will give off a distinctive cactus candle scent once they are lit, invoking memories of the desert.
