Scented Jar Candles
One of the most popular types of candles is the jar candle. Scented jar candles are especially popular because they have all the advantages of jar candles and give off a pleasant scent. These self-contained candles do not leave the wax mess of other types of candles like votives or tapers. They do not drip or overflow while being burned, and can simply be thrown away when they are used up. Instead of trying to scrap the wax out of your holder, you toss the whole thing and replace it. They are more expensive than other types of candles but last much longer. And scented jar candles have stronger, longer lasting aromas than other types of scented candles.
A scented votive or tealight in a holder will lose it’s scent the longer it sits out, giving off less and less fragrance every time it is burned. Scented jars, though, generally come with a kind of lid that can be replaced between burnings. After you are done enjoying your candle, have blown it out and let it cool for a few minutes, you can replace the lid to hold in the scent. It is the same principle as resealing a jar of food; the freshness is kept in, making it last longer. Many popular scents are available in jars, including vanilla and other baking smells, flower scents like lilac and rose, fruit scents like cherry and apple, and many seasonal smells. Adding a few to your living room can add color and fragrance for an enjoyable evening at home.
